Homosexual Male Teens' First
Liplock on Prime Time TV
URGENT ACTION NEEDED!!!
Homosexual
activists are trumpeting this weeks episode of Dawson's Creek
on the Warner Brothers (WB) network, as the first romantic kiss
between two male characters on prime time TV (See
New York Post 5/18/00 article below). The program will air on
the Mainland, Wednesday May 24th. Check your local schedules for
time and channel. ( In Hawaii it airs on Thursday May 25th, at 5pm
on KFVE-TV channel 5.)
If you are offended by this blatant targeting of our teenagers,
encouraging them to engage in this unhealthy immoral behavior, the
time to act is NOW! Here is what you can do in your community:
- Find out the name/phone/fax/email/address
of the WB affiliate and station manager in your city.
In Hawaii:
Mr. Dan Schmidt
KFVE-TV Ch. 5
1508 Puuhale Rd.
Honolulu, HI 96819
Phone: 847-3246
Fax: 845-3616
Email: dschmidt@khnl.com
- Call your state Department
of Health and ask for AIDS statistics and other sexually transmitted
diseases (STDs) for "men having sex with men".
In Hawaii:
According to the Department of Health, there are over 2,000 cases
of full blown AIDS in Hawaii. Over 80% are directly related to
men having sex with men.
- On Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, May 22nd, 23rd and 24th tell everyone you know, family,
friends, churches, employees, youth groups, etc.-everyone in your
sphere of influence-to phone/email/fax/write your local WB affiliate
and the WB headquarters in Hollywood. Tell them how offended you
are that they are planning to broadcast a program (Dawson's
Creek) promoting a behavior that is clearly unhealthy to our
young people. Be polite but make it clear to them that if they
choose to broadcast this episode, you will choose to NOT watch
their channel ever again.
Hollywood Address:
Mr. Jamie Kellner, President
Warner Brothers Network
4000 Warner Blvd. Bldg.34R
Burbank, CA 91522
- If you know any businesses
or churches who advertise on the WB Channel, ask them to call
the station manager and request that this episode not be shown.
- If the show doesn't
air, make sure you call and thank the station manager for his
decision.
- If the show does
air, videotape the program in its entirety, from the ending credits
of the previous show, to the credits at the end of Dawson's
Creek.
- View the program
and write down all the local businesses that bought advertising
on the show. Phone the owner/manager of the business and express
your displeasure about them promoting an unhealthy, immoral behavior.
Note: Check this web
site on Friday, May 26th. All national sponsors with their addresses
phone numbers, and fax numbers will be listed. Contact them and
do the same as you did with local advertisers.
Make no mistake. This
offensive episode is the culmination of a carefully planned strategy
to change the hearts and minds of the American people. The creator
of Dawson's Creek is Kevin Williamson, a homosexual activist,
who has used the series to promote his values and agenda, which
is ultimately social approval and acceptance of homosexuality on
an equal basis with heterosexuality.
In addition to promoting homosexuality, the series has consistently
portrayed people of faith, specifically Christians as small minded,
hateful, bigots. Dawson's Creek is a direct attempt to obviously
undermine the spiritual values of the vast majority of people of
America who do not accept homosexual behavior as being normal and
natural. The pro-homosexual theme drives a wedge between children,
parents, and their priest/pastor/imam/rabbi. What the producers/writers
of the show are saying, "Don't listen to your parents and spiritual
mentors. We know what is best for you. Let us guide your life."
Plain and simple, this season's finale called "True Love"
(more accurately "True Lust") is irresponsible broadcasting
and definitely not in the public interest.
If one confused child
watches this show and is influenced to engage in anal sex either
now or in the future and contracts AIDS, what a tragedy.
Don't let homosexual
activists corrupt the minds and hearts of our impressionable young
people.
It's time to take a stand.
Thank you for your help.
Ke Akua me ke Aloha (God
Bless)

President, SPHI

Please spread the word. E-mail or fax this message to at least 5
of your friends and ask them to do the same.

'CREEK' GAY
KISS BREAKS TUBE TABOO
By MICHAEL STARR
New York Post May 18, 2000
EXCLUSIVE
ANOTHER TV taboo will be shattered next Wednesday night when
"Dawson's Creek" features the first gay-romantic
kiss between two male characters. In the "Dawson"
season finale, "True Love," Jack (Kerr Smith) and
his boyfriend, Ethan (Adam Kauffman), lock lips after last
night's near-miss-pucker. The kiss is "historically important,"
says Scott Seomin, spokesman for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance
Against Defamation.
"This
is a milestone we needed to get past," he says. "This
is the first romantic kiss between two gay men on prime-time
network TV - and it took a network like the WB, which is still
new and not afraid to take chances, to make it happen."
"Jack
has been developing this friendship with Ethan since the midpoint
of this year," "Dawson's Creek" executive producer
Greg Berlanti told The Post.
"Ethan
has sort of set up a few hurdles for Jack to jump over in
terms of coming out, including [Jack's] having a better relationship
with his dad.
"This
culminates where Jack is in a place where he can kiss Ethan,"
Berlanti says. "He's ready to identify himself as gay
and take it to the physical level. And there's actually sort
of a bittersweet turn following the kiss.
"
Berlanti says the kiss takes place outside the dorm at Ethan's
boarding school - ironic, considering that Jack wouldn't kiss
Ethan on last night's episode while they were in a deserted
train station.
Berlanti
says the WB has been extremely encouraging about "the
kiss," especially since it's such an integral part of
Jack's character - and isn't seen as a sweeps stunt such as
past lesbian kisses on "Roseanne," "Ally
McBeal" and "Party of Five."
"This
is the culmination of 36 episodes," he says. "If
you examined every single character on the show, it's all
about the 'firsts' that people have."
"Dawson's
Creek" airs next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Ch. 11.
